Does CPEC effect Chitrali culture

Human beings, are social being because they share culture, no human societies can exist and develop without its culture it is the main difference between animal’s societies and human societies, animal societies have no potentials they may not have the system of learning and transmitting social experiences, so, culture is that complex whole which includes our knowledge, our belief system, our laws and customs which are being transmitted from generation to generation. Like many cultures of other societies our Chitrali culture is  also unique in its cultural pattern, unique in identity and it would not be an exaggeration if I may say that where ever word Chitral  is being uttered there co-exists word of peace and brotherhood within it, they may utter the praise of words as ‘’Chitralis’ are the subject of peace, they are the ambassador of peace and harmony among communities ’.It’s only the culture pattern which has been learned and shared by members of community and it’s that common bond which brings the community people together, the custom and tradition that we celebrate, the kind of clothing  we wear, the food we eat which all are our cultural values which binds us together culture being learned, being shared and being transmitted from generation to generation but with due modernization and rapid acceleration in technology quite how also leaving some impression in our ancestor’s cultural traits, which doesn’t mean that to be conservative and rigid towards change but to show balancey with due modernisation by protecting uniqueness of our local culture ,one may not have to be so much xenocentric that they may forget their own culture and trying to prefer others culture, because it is known from histories that those countries got developed who had respected their culture, who had love for their culture and promoted their culture and also there are stories of  those societies, who couldn’t be able to survive the culture they had been perishing away with the waves of  time and age of technology and their histories just be written as  once upon a time there was…with these words.

When we glance towards the development and cope up with technology though it brings lots of good opportunities especially china Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) it is not only just of four English alphabetic words rather it is the connectivity of two nations, a connectivity of two culture and traditions. Although it brings lots of economic input for Pakistan and especially for Chitral as being a route passage for CPEC the local economy would increase there may be lots of job opportunities for the peoples, but in another way it may also affect the local peaceful and fresh environment of the area, especially it wonders me a lot when I think over the survival of our culture, some of these questions strike to my mind that: Are we be able to survive with our culture or not? Will the modern technology engulf our existing cultures or not? Are we being able to cope with challenges of coming age of technology or not? These are some of the questions regarding our cultural identity and its preservation.it all depends on us how we have to be able to present our culture to our coming generation and make our place such wonders that compels more and more tourists to visit this beauty and its culture. Now it’s our role to take part in preserving our culture ,our identity, we have to participate in traditional activities and ceremonies, we have to promote our written and oral literature sharing our cultural art by exhibitions programs giving to friends gifts related to our cultural items, raising more and more awareness sessions regarding importance of culture and also by influencing peoples by writing articles regarding importance of culture, arranging exhibition show, we have unique clothing, our music, our arts, our oral literature and many more features within it so through social media I want to convey the message  of cultural preservation  to all my readers on social media that respect your uniqueness and your identity and we will be able to present it to our coming generation in a beautiful way, and to show to the world that we Chitrali’s have unique identity, unique culture so that our history would be written with the ink of love and respect.
