78th Pakistan resolution day of 23rd March celebrated in Chitral

CHITRAL: To celebrate 78 Pakistan resolution day a colorful event on this occasion was held at Frontier Corps Public school ground  Chitral. Commandant Chitral scout scouts Col Muenuddin was the chief guest on the occasion. In this connection, first time in history of Chitral Marathon race and gymnastic games were also held. Marathon race competition was started from Shaheed Usama Park which passes through Abdul  Wali Khan bypass road and ended at Chitral scouts polo ground. Some 5 different games were played on the occasion. The Marathon race competition was highly hailed by local people in which students of the different school participated

Students participated in speech competitions, stage show regarding briefing historical background of this day on the stage.

Gymnastic was played at the first time in which players had arrived here from Mardan. They exhibited long jump and high jump as well as crossed in round iron rod which was burning by fire. Paragliding show was also very interesting one in which pilots of Hindukush Association for Paragliding carried one tourist in tandem flight carrying national flag.  They successfully landed at polo ground of Chitral scouts.

Students of different classes presented tablue, national songs, stage drama, and historical background of resolution of Pakistan.  Polo match was also contested between two polo teams. The 78th Pakistan day was celebrated jointly by the district administration and Chitral scouts. District sports officer Abdul Rahmat told local journalists that on the first time they invited players of gymnastics and they also held Marathon race competition at the first time.  Chief guest awarded 5000 cash prize to first position holder in Marathon race competition, 3000 to second position holder and 2000 to third position holder while 10 medals were also presented to other players and students.

MNA Chitral Shahzada Iftikharuddin, MPA Saleem Khan, District Nazim Maghfirat Shah, Commandant Chitral scouts Col Mueenuddin and other speakers stressed upon the students especially young generation that this country came into being after great sacrifices of our forefathers. And this responsibility of young generation to play a vital role for development, protection of the motherland.

A large number of students, parents, civil and military officers, social workers were present on the occasion who enthralled from these colorful events. Different stalls were also exhibited on the occasion and female teachers of FCPS  were seen face painting of children on the volunteer basis. Kalash culture, handicraft, books stall, rescue teams demonstrated in their stalls.
