HoC Education Venture organized its first career counseling session in Chitral

Humans of Chitral Education Venture organized its first career counseling session in coordination with Ahtiram Ul Haq Shaheed Coaching Academy Booni on June 13th. The event was themed as “Beyond Medical and Engineering” and around 150 male and female young students attended the event. The chairman of the academy Muhkam Uddin talked about the goals of the academy that it wants to help Chitrali students to compete globally by providing them the educational help they needed. The president of HOC Education Venture, Abdul Wahid Khan explained the aims and objectives of the program that it is an attempt to help our student think of and consider professions other than medical and engineering in order to contribute to the society in a positive way. He invited students to explore liberal arts education as an option that is still unexplored in Chitral. The program had speakers who talked on various professional and education fields that students can look into. Saadia Sabir shared with the audience the opportunities out there in the field of development studies. Khalid Mehmood explained his life journey and how he started the first delivery system of Chitral called Korumghar and how it has been successful. The audience deeply enjoyed his story of entrepreneurship while having a degree in Engineering. Anwar Khan spoke about following the passion that students have and gave his own example of promoting tourism in Chitral as a passion. The final speaker was Mukhtar Ali Khan who shed lights on the profession of teaching and explained how teaching in the 21st century is a very tough job that needs serious consideration. He also shared the opportunities that are affiliated with the profession of teaching. The students engaged in an interesting and fruitful discussion with the speakers. In this event, Ahtiram Shaheed Memorial Community library was also inaugurated and participants of the event donated books to the library. This library would be a community spaced that is well equipped and open for all. The event was concluded by the students visiting different stalls that ambassadors of HOC Education Venture from 15 different universities had set up. These ambassadors will act as mentors for the interested students throughout the admission process and beyond. It was a very enriching experience for the participants and a healthy gathering of the youth for a better cause of youth awareness and empowerment.
