Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah Assumed Charge as first Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral

CHITRAL: Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah assumed charge as first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chitral. Dr. Shah joined Agriculture University Peshawar in 1984 as a lecturer and then promoted to Professor. He worked as Dean, Faculty of crop production Sciences, University of Agriculture.

Dr. Shah has a huge contribution in the field of soil conservation and crop production. Dr. Shah has won a number of awards and two gold medals including the President of Pakistan award, University best teacher award, Soil Science award, and four research productivity awards. He successfully completed 15 national and international research projects. Dr. Shah has published more than 120 scientific research papers related to the field of soil and environmental sciences, of which more than 50 are published in peer-reviewed impact factor journals. Dr. Shah has produced 10 PhDs and 70 M.phil students. The University of Chitral welcomes Dr. Shah and extends heartiest congratulations.
