ROSE Chitral Awards Scholarship to Outstanding Student

Chitral: In a dignified ceremony held at the ROSE office in Chitral, a scholarship of PKR 50,000 was presented to Ameena Hassan, an exceptional student from Chitral Town, currently pursuing a mathematics degree at Peshawar University.

The special guest, Molana Shamsuddin, the esteemed Khateeb of the Qaid-e-Azam Mausoleum in Karachi, presented the scholarship check on behalf of ROSE Chitral. The event was graced by prominent figures, including Prof. Israruddin, renowned lawyer Abdul Wali Khan, former President of Agha Khan Regional Council Chitral, Muhammad Afzal, Khateeb Shahi Mosque Chitral, Molana Khalique-uz-Zaman, Chief Editor of Chitral Times, Saifur Rahman Aziz, and Chief Editor of Shandur Magazine, Muhammad Ali Mujahid, among others. Dr. Javed Mahmood, another accomplished son of Chitral, who holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from South Korea, also attended the event.

Dr. Javed Mahmood, currently serving as a professor at Medina University, Saudi Arabia, was presented with an honorary plaque to recognize his outstanding achievements.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of ROSE Chitral, Hidayatullah, emphasized the significance of such ceremonies in creating awareness among the public about ROSE’s commitment to supporting local women and men through scholarships. He highlighted that ROSE relies on donations from the local community, and it aims to ensure that contributors are informed of how their contributions directly impact deserving students, inspiring others to trust and collaborate with ROSE in extending assistance.

This event served as an excellent opportunity to celebrate Ameena Hassan’s accomplishments and shed light on the efforts made by ROSE Chitral in fostering education in the region.
